● The suicide bombing on March 2, 2002, in the Beit Israel neighborhood of Jerusalem, the terrorist blew himself up among the celebrants leaving a Bar Mitzvah celebration. The attack killed 10 people, including 6 children, and injured 55.
● A suicide bombing in late February 2002 at a supermarket in Kiryat Yovel, Jerusalem. A female suicide bomber exploded at the entrance to the store, killing two people and injuring dozens.
● A suicide bombing in April 2002, when a terrorist exploded at a police checkpoint on HaNevi'im Street in Jerusalem, killing policeman Tomer Mordechai.
● A suicide attack in Rishon LeZion in May 2002, in which two people were murdered.
He was captured by security forces and sentenced to 17 life sentences.
The verdict stated that the defendant expressed no remorse for his actions and even said that he was proud of the terrorism he committed, and that if he were released from prison he would go and carry out a suicide attack.
He was released on October 13, 2025, after 23 years in prison, as part of the deal to free the living hostages from the Gaza Strip.
