Member and operative of a terrorist cell that planned to carry out attacks against Israelis. As part of the cell's activities, its members carried out several shooting attacks. Among other things, they shot at an Israeli vehicle and ambulance.
He was convicted of a crime equivalent to murder and sentenced to life imprisonment and payment of compensation for his part in the shooting attack that took place at the Shvut Rachel junction in June 2015. In this attack, Malachi Rosenfeld was murdered, while he was on his way home in Kochav Hashachar with three friends, returning from a basketball game.
During the ambush set up by the cell, at least 15 bullets were fired from close range at the victims' vehicle. Rosenfeld was seriously injured and later died of his wounds, while the other occupants of the car were moderately to lightly injured.
He was not the shooter himself. He was arrested about a month after the act, and was convicted of aiding, abetting, and tampering with evidence related to the incident.
He was released from prison on January 25, 2025, after 9 years of imprisonment, as part of the second phase of the hostage deal.
According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
