Mohammad al-Obayat

A member of the cell that carried out a stabbing attack in the Gilo neighborhood of Jerusalem in 2023. A 26-year-old Jewish student was seriously injured in the attack. The members of the cell, 3 young men, one of whom is a minor and whose identity remains confidential, arrived in the Gilo neighborhood of Jerusalem with the aim of murdering a Jew. They noticed a young man passing by and one of them approached him and began talking to him to find out if he was Jewish. When his identity was verified, they pulled out their knives and began stabbing him all over his body. While he was stabbed all over his body and two knives were stuck in his body, he fled towards the entrance to one of the buildings on the street, cried out for help and collapsed. The young man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The members of the cell were captured by security forces and convicted of attempted murder.
