Member of a terrorist cell that planned and carried out shooting attacks. The attacks killed police officer Rami Zuari and police officer David Shriki.
In January 2008, he conspired to murder a soldier at the Ras Khamis checkpoint and take his weapon. Accordingly, on 24.1.08, he arrived with Muhammad Julani near the checkpoint. While Julani was waiting in a nearby vehicle, he walked, carrying the gun, towards the police officers stationed at the checkpoint. He approached police officer Rami Zuari, shot him in the head with a single bullet from close range, killing him.
Afterwards, he shot at another police officer, wounding her in the hand.
He took the deceased police officer's weapon and fled with Julani.
On the evening of 11.7.08, he went to the Lions Gate area in Jerusalem and approached the police officers who were there. He shot at close range a bullet in the head of police officer David Shriki, killing him. He also shot at another police officer, wounding him.
He was captured by security forces and sentenced to life imprisonment.
He was released from prison on February 27, 2025, after 16 years of imprisonment, as part of the seventh phase of the hostage deal.
According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
