Head of a terrorist cell that carried out an attack on bus line 142 in Tel Aviv in 2012.
He was responsible for recruiting Muhammad Mafarjeh, and tested him through a test mission with placing a bag on an Israeli bus.
After the first mission was successful, he prepared an explosive device with a remote activation mechanism.
Muhammad received the bomb from him, and placed it hidden in a bag on bus line 142 in Tel Aviv.
After receiving confirmation that the bomb was on the bus, he activated it remotely using a cell phone.
The attack injured 28 civilians, three of whom were in critical condition.
He was captured by security forces and during his interrogation he also confessed to planning additional attacks.
Sentenced to 27 years in prison.
He was released from prison on January 25, 2025, after 12 years of imprisonment, as part of the second phase of the hostage deal.
