Kataib al-Quds

An Iranian militia that operated in Syria during the civil war, personally commanded by Qasem Soleimani, the commander of Iran's Quds Force, until his assassination in Iraq in 2020. This highly trained force was intended to secure the presidential palace of the Syrian president and his family, numbering an estimated 1,200 fighters.
