An Iranian armed militia loyal to the Assad regime, operating across Syria during the civil war to assist Assad's forces. The militia consisted of Afghans from an ethnic minority seeking refuge in Iran. It was established by Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps in 2014, and its fighters were stationed in the Sayyida Zaynab area south of Damascus, with additional bases in al-Jamiat and al-Bukamal.
