Asad Allah Brigade

An Iraqi armed militia that operated in Syria to assist the Assad regime and Iran's activities in the region. It consisted of Iraqi recruits and was associated with Iraq's anti-terror intervention force. SWAT markings, characteristic of the U.S.-trained Iraqi intervention force, appeared on the gear of its members. The force's commander was Abu Fatima al-Moussawi, and its missions included securing the city of Damascus.
