Walid Akel Zakaria Abd al-Hadi

One of the founders of Hamas' military wing. Sentenced to 16 life sentences. He's responsible, among other things, for the murder of Doron Shorshan in 1992. Released as part of the Shalit deal and the only resident of Gaza deported to Turkey, he later managed to return to Gaza. The main charges against him were: Murder by hostile acts; affiliation with an unrecognized organization; intentional causing of death; service to an illegal organization.
