Taysir al-Batsh

Taysir al-Batsh, known as Abu Musab, is one of the senior figures in the Hamas organization in the Gaza Strip. In October 2025, it was reported that he serves as the Minister of Interior in the Hamas administration in the Strip. He previously served as the General Commander of the Hamas Police in the Gaza Strip. He was seriously injured in an Israeli Air Force strike on his home in the al-Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City in 2014; 18 members of his family were killed in the attack, but he recovered and returned to his position.
