Arrested on 02/07/2002. Released from prison in 2011 as part of the Shalit deal. Rearrested in 2014 after resuming Hamas activities and returned to serve his sentence. The main charges he was convicted of are: attempted murder; possession of a bomb; planting an explosive device; conspiracy to commit a crime. He was released from prison on February 27, 2025, as part of the seventh phase of the hostage deal. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
