He carried out a shooting attack on Highway 60 against a vehicle near the settlement of Otniel in November 2015. In the attack, Yaakov Litman and his son Netanel were murdered, and two other family members were injured. On November 13, 2015, seven members of the Litman family left their home in Kiryat Arba in their vehicle and traveled toward the settlement of Meitar. As they passed near the settlement of Otniel, he blocked the road with his vehicle and opened fire on the vehicle. The father of the family, Yaakov Litman, 45, was hit and killed on the spot, and his son Netanel, 18, who was driving the vehicle, was seriously injured, but managed to call for help before dying from his wounds. The vehicle stopped and veered off the road. He opened the doors of the vehicle in order to shoot the people sitting in the back, but his gun stuck, prevented him from doing so, and he fled the scene. He was later captured in his home in the Jabal Rahma neighborhood of Hebron. He was sentenced to three life sentences.
