Sentenced to two life sentences for the murders of George Khoury and David Mordechai in two shooting attacks in Jerusalem in 2003-2004. He was also sentenced to additional imprisonment for attempted murder and possession of a weapon. He was released from prison on January 25, 2025, after 20 years of imprisonment, as part of the second phase of the hostage deal. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
