A resident of the Shati refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, who was a fisherman and was arrested for his involvement in smuggling activities for the Hamas organization. As part of his activities, he transferred large sums of money, estimated at tens of millions of dollars, directly to the organization's leaders in the Gaza Strip. In addition to smuggling money, he was also involved in smuggling weapons through underground tunnels in the Rafah area. As part of this activity, hundreds of Kalashnikov rifles, hundreds of thousands of bullets, tens of tons of explosives, and approximately 500 RPG rockets were smuggled, which were used by Hamas' military wing. He was arrested by Israeli security forces after he exceeded the permitted fishing area. Sentenced to 14 years in prison. He was released from prison on January 25, 2025, after 9 years of imprisonment, as part of the second phase of the hostage deal.
