Senior member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, sentenced to eight life sentences. Planned and carried out two attacks in 2002 in Kibbutz Metzar and the settlement of Hermesh. Eight Israelis were murdered in the attacks. He was released from prison on February 15, 2025, after 22 years of imprisonment, as part of the sixth phase of the hostage deal. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
