On October 11, 2022, he arrived with his partner at a military post at the Shavei Shomron crossing, with the aim of shooting at the security forces present there. Upon their arrival, they opened fire on four soldiers who were securing the traffic route. First Sergeant Ido Baruch was hit by the gunfire and killed. He was captured by the security forces, and sentenced to life imprisonment.
