Hamas operative from Hebron. Released as part of the Shalit deal and deported to Gaza. From there, he recruited terrorists in the West Bank with the intention of carrying out a kidnapping attack. The Shin Bet caught a memory card he sent to operatives in the West Bank containing detailed instructions on how to carry out the kidnapping. In his instructions, he wrote: "Try to obtain resources, weapons, and ready explosives, but do so with great caution and through appropriate methods. Weapons can be obtained from the enemy even if we have to use cold weapons initially. Do not speak openly, only during face-to-face meetings. The declaration of the attack will be made by us through the Supreme Military Council." The main charges against him were: Murder by hostile actions; weapons/ammunition/explosives; attempted murder - hostile actions; conspiracy to commit a crime.
