Tanzim operative - the military wing of Fatah. Planned the suicide bombing at the Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem that occurred on April 12, 2002. Six people were murdered in the attack, and others were injured. Sentenced to six life sentences and additional 20 years in prison. He was released on October 13, 2025, after 23 years in prison, as part of the deal to free the living hostages from the Gaza Strip. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
