On January 17, 2016, he murdered Dafna Meir, a mother of four, by stabbing her at the entrance to her home in the settlement of Otniel, in front of her children. The offenses for which he was convicted are: causing death intentionally, knives and daggers – carrying and production. Sentenced to life imprisonment. He was released on October 13, 2025, after 9 years in prison, as part of the deal to free the living hostages from the Gaza Strip. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
