Arrested on 12/06/1994. The main charges for which he was convicted are causing intentional death; affiliation with an unrecognized organization; offenses against the judiciary. Released on 18 October 2011 as part of the first phase of the Shalit deal. Re-arrested in 2014 and resumed serving his sentence. He was released from prison on February 27, 2025, as part of the seventh phase of the hostage deal. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
