Head of Hamas' military wing in Tulkarm. He was involved in planning the attack on the Park Hotel in Netanya in 2002, in which 30 people were murdered. He was arrested by security forces in 2009 in the village of Zurif, southwest of Bethlehem. Sentenced to 24 years in prison. He was released from prison on February 8, 2025, after 15 years of imprisonment, as part of the fifth phase of the hostage deal.
