Muhammad Abdul Basit Haroub

Carried out a shooting attack in the area between the Gush Etzion junction and the settlement of Alon Shvut in 2015. The attack killed Yaakov Don, 49, Ezra Yechiel Schwartz, 18, and Shadi Zuhdi Khateb, a Palestinian resident of Hebron. In addition, seven people were injured. At noon on November 19, 2015, he arrived in his car from west to east on Route 367 between Alon Shvut and the Gush Etzion junction. There was a traffic jam on the road, which he bypassed and began shooting through the windshield of his car at vehicles standing on the road.  Finally, he crashed into a car, at which point he was shot by security forces, and seriously injured. In March 2017, he was sentenced to 4 life sentences. He was released on October 13, 2025, after 9 years in prison, as part of the deal to free the living hostages from the Gaza Strip. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
