Convicted of participating in a lynching in Ramallah in October 2000, in which two reservists, Vadim Norzic and Yossi Avrahami, were murdered.
He was also convicted of the murders of eight Israelis: Elazar Pashkus, the couple Yaniv Ben Shalom and Sharon Ben Shalom, Doron Sviri, Meir Wisboiz, Yoela Chen, Ora (Svetlana) Sendler and Sarah Hamburger, in various shooting attacks in the northern Jerusalem area.
In addition, he was convicted of participating in and planning a series of additional attacks in which over 50 Israelis were injured.
He was sentenced to nine cumulative life sentences.
He was released from prison on February 15, 2025, after 22 years of imprisonment, as part of the sixth phase of the hostage deal.
According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
