He carried out a car-ramming attack in Jerusalem in 2015.
The attack ran over 4 female Border Police officers and another passerby.
On March 6, 2015, on the Shushan Purim holiday in Jerusalem, he left his home with the intention of carrying out the attack.
He was driving on Haim Bar Lev Boulevard (Route 1), and noticed a group of Border Policewomen and civilians crossing the road.
He stopped his vehicle and immediately accelerated and ran over the policewomen.
He then continued driving and hit a cyclist from behind with force.
He stopped his vehicle and got out of it, holding an axe, and began running towards a Border Policeman and a security guard, who were guarding the entrance gate to the nearby Border Police base.
They moved towards him and called out to him to stop several times, but he continued running towards them.
The two opened fire on him until he collapsed. He was shot several times, injured, and hospitalized.
In June 2015, he was convicted in a plea bargain and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
He was released from prison on January 25, 2025, after 9 years of imprisonment, as part of the second phase of the hostage deal.
