Mohammad Zakarna

Recruited and directed the terrorists who carried out the attack in which Gregory Rabinovich was murdered in May 2009. He was convicted in 2017 of planning the attack, recruiting the cell members, directing them, and instructing them on how to act after the attack. Additionally, he was convicted of participating with others in the murder of a Palestinian suspected by them of collaborating with Israel, and 37 other security offenses. Sentenced to two life sentences plus 40 years imprisonment. He was released on October 13, 2025, after 13 years in prison, as part of the deal to free the living hostages from the Gaza Strip. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
