Moeen al-Arabid

Moeen al-Arabid is the commander of Hamas’s Internal Security apparatus in the Gaza District. In this role, he is responsible for the apparatus’s activities in the area, including counterespionage efforts and the identification of individuals suspected of collaborating with Israel. On September 1, 2026, it was reported that al-Arabid was the target of an operation by an Israeli special forces unit in western Gaza City. During the operation, he was wounded, captured, and transferred to detention in Israel.
