Majdi Barakat Abdul Ghaffar Zaatari

Member of a Hamas terrorist cell, the cell responsible for the suicide bombing on bus Line 2 in Jerusalem in 2003. The attack killed 23 people, including 7 children, and injured over 130. On the morning of the attack, the suicide bomber arrived in the Abu Dis neighborhood, where Majdi met him. The terrorist was driven to the Wadi Joz neighborhood, adjacent to the attack area, and was given shelter in a mosque in the neighborhood, where he was also taught how to activate the bomb. In the evening, he drove the terrorist to the bus station. Sentenced to life in prison. He was released from prison on February 27, 2025, after 21 years of imprisonment, as part of the seventh phase of the hostage deal. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
