Louay Maarouf

Carried out a shooting attack on February 27, 2023, on Highway 90, in which Elan Ganeles was murdered. Together with his partner, he planned the attack, and the two purchased a gun, ammunition, and a vehicle for this purpose. During the attack, they drove along Highway 90 in search of Israeli vehicles, while examining escape routes. They fired at several Israeli vehicles, they saw Elan Ganeles's vehicle, approached him and shot at the windshield, which led to his death. They then continued to shoot at another Israeli vehicle, fled the scene, and burned the vehicle they used in the attack. He was captured by security forces and put on trial.
