Arrested on October 16, 2007. The offenses for which he was imprisoned are: Murder. Released on October 18, 2011 as part of the first phase of the Shalit deal. Rearrested in 2014 and returned to serve his sentence after the Parole Board determined that he had been in contact with a terrorist organization and transferred terrorist funds for it, throughout almost the entire period of his release, including contact with senior activists and military operatives. He was released from prison on February 27, 2025, as part of the seventh phase of the hostage deal. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
