Arrested on 23/09/1995. Released from prison in 2011 as part of the Shalit deal, he was rearrested in 2014, and returned to serve his sentence of 2 life sentences and twenty years. The main charges he was convicted of are: murder by hostile acts; harming the security of the area; Kidnapping/coercion/false imprisonment; membership in an unrecognized organization. He was released from prison on February 27, 2025, as part of the seventh phase of the hostage deal. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
