The main charges he was convicted of are: murder by hostile acts; harming the security of the area; Kidnapping/coercion/false imprisonment; membership in an unrecognized organization. He was released from prison on February 27, 2025, as part of the seventh phase of the hostage deal. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
