In February 2010, he and his brother entered Israel through a breach in the separation fence near Beitar Illit. They stole a car from Beit Shemesh and waited in the area of Beit Jamal Monastery. When they spotted Neta Blat-Shorek walking alone, they stabbed her to death. He was sentenced to life imprisonment plus an additional 16 years in prison.
