Together with his partner Baha Alian, he boarded bus number 78 on Olei Gardom Street in Jerusalem on October 13.
They opened fire on the passengers and stabbed several of them.
He fired a gun, while Alian stabbed with a knife. Even after the gun ran out of ammunition and the knife broke, the two continued to strangle passengers with their hands until Border Police officers arrived at the scene.

Alian was killed on the spot by security forces, and he was captured and sentenced to life imprisonment.
He was released from prison on February 27, 2025, after 9 years of imprisonment, as part of the seventh phase of the hostage deal.
