Together with his partner, he carried out an attack in which army officer Sariya Ofer was murdered at his home in the settlement of Brosh HaBikah in 2013.
They arrived in the settlement of Brosh HaBikah in the northern Jordan Valley to gather information, in preparation for a robbery they were planning there.
After realizing that Ofer was a senior army officer and that he might have a weapon in his possession, they decided to murder him, "as a gift to the Palestinian people and Hamas prisoners on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha holiday," and to take the weapon, along with other valuables, that would be found there.
On the night of the attack, on October 10, 2013, the two arrived at Ofer's residence and waited for him to arrive. After he entered his home, the two attacked him with a pickaxe and an axe, which they had brought with them, and murdered him.
The two were captured by security forces about two days later, and sentenced to life imprisonment.
He was released from prison on February 27, 2025, after 11 years of imprisonment, as part of the seventh phase of the hostage deal.
