He served as the main planner of the attack, was a member of the terrorist cell and took an active part in the attack.
He carried out five preliminary patrols together with the other members of the cell, to monitor the schedule of the police vehicle.
Together with his accomplices in the attack, he fired a Kalashnikov rifle at a police vehicle in which four police officers were traveling. The shooting killed police officer Yehoshua (Shuki) Sofer and injured the other three police officers - Yoav Dahan, Eran Raveh and Mordechai Ganon.
For his actions, he was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder and an additional 25 years in prison for the injuries he caused to the other police officers.
