Together with his partner, he carried out an attack using axes in the city of Elad in 2022. The attack killed 4 civilians and injured others. In 2022, he and his partner decided to carry out a terrorist attack and murder Jewish Israeli citizens. When they were unable to obtain firearms, they decided to carry out the attack using knives and axes. They chose the city of Elad as the target for the attack, where they had previously been employed performing electrical work in a synagogue. On May 5, 2022, they entered Israel in the area of ​​a breach in the fence, and hid in a nearby grove. They managed to call a car driver who came to the grove and picked them up in his car. During the trip to Elad, they sent their wills to their relatives. They arrived in the city of Elad in the evening, on the eve of Israel's 74th Independence Day, May 5, 2022. They first murdered Oren Ben Yiftach, the driver who drove them, with an axe and pushed him out of his car. After trying to start the car without success, they decided to continue the attack on foot, and walked on Ibn Gvirol Street in the city of Elad in search of victims. When they reached the city park area, they managed to attack passersby with axes and knives. Three people were murdered there, and one of the people was fatally wounded in front of his four children. One of the murdered confronted the terrorists, saving many people who were fleeing at the time. They tried to continue the killing spree and enter the amusement park, where families and children were staying. But the guard prevented their entry, confronted them, and even tried to shoot. The terrorists mortally wounded him and fled. The attack killed Yehonatan Habakkuk, Boaz Gol, Oren Ben Yiftach, the driver of the shuttle vehicle, and the guard, Shimon Maatuf, who died of his wounds in 2023. Three others were injured, one of them in serious condition. They were captured by security forces and sentenced to life imprisonment.
