Carried out an attack involving rape and murder in February 2019.
In the attack, 19-year-old Ori Ansbacher was murdered while hiking in the forest.
On February 7, 2019, he left his home in Hebron toward Beit Jala in East Jerusalem, equipped with a knife and a kippah he had purchased two weeks earlier, intending to carry out an attack against Israelis.
He entered Jerusalem territory on foot through a breach in the separation fence near Beit Jala.
He encountered Ansbacher in the grove near Ein Yael spring in Jerusalem, attacked her and stabbed her with the knife.
Ansbacher resisted and screamed, to no avail. Afterward, he dragged her about 150 meters, stabbed her again, gagged her mouth with a scarf and tied her hands with a belt, and raped her.
He remained in the area for some time attempting to harm additional Israelis, and finally took a taxi to Palestinian Authority territories.
On December 20, 2022, the Jerusalem District Court convicted him, and he was sentenced to life imprisonment plus 20 additional years.
