Arrested in 2006, and sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of taxi driver Shmuel Ben Baruch in August 1997. Ben Baruch's body was found in a well near Jericho. He was released from prison on January 25, 2025, after 18 years of imprisonment, as part of the second phase of the hostage deal. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
