The offenses of which he was convicted are: causing death intentionally, arson or fire, throwing a bomb, membership in an unrecognized organization, kidnapping–coercion–false imprisonment, shooting at people, attempted murder, weapons/ammunition/explosives, weapons offenses, conspiracy to cause death intentionally. Sentenced to life imprisonment. He was released on October 13, 2025, after 22 years in prison, as part of the deal to free the living hostages from the Gaza Strip. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
