Ahmad Vahidi

An Iranian military leader and politician, serving as a senior advisor to the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Previously, he served as the commander of the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guard, as well as Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior in former governments. In June 2025, he was appointed by Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, as the acting commander of the Revolutionary Guard, following the assassination of Hossein Salami in an Israeli Air Force strike – a position he held for several days.
