Arrested on June 20, 1990 for murdering a Palestinian after suspecting him of collaborating with Israel. The offenses for which he was imprisoned are: murder; membership in an unrecognized organization; conspiracy to commit a crime; serious bodily harm. Released on October 18, 2011 as part of the first phase of the Shalit deal. Rearrested in 2014 and returned to serve his sentence. He was released from prison on February 27, 2025, after 10 years of imprisonment, as part of the seventh phase of the hostage deal. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
