The cell members, including Abdullah, conducted preliminary surveillance and observations in the area before the attack. They then acquired a GMC vehicle with Israeli license plates for carrying out the shooting.
During the attack, they fired at civilians and soldiers, moderately-to-seriously wounding one soldier. They then fired at passing vehicles, which resulted in minor injuries to one civilian and damage to additional vehicles. After the attack, they fled in their vehicle to the village of Jama'in, where they set the vehicle on fire, and escaped toward Nablus in a pre-arranged taxi.
