Abd al-Latif al-Qanou

A member of Hamas and its official spokesperson since 2016. Born in Jabalia, Gaza Strip, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies and a doctorate in Communication and Religious Studies. Al-Qanoua has been active in Hamas since the Second Intifada, opposing the Oslo Accords and advocating armed resistance against Israel. He authored a book on Islamic communication (2021) and remains a vocal proponent of liberating all of historic Palestine without recognizing Israel.
