Intelligence Protection and Counter-Espionage (IRGC)

This unit plays a central role in information security and counter-espionage. It is responsible for preventing hostile infiltration and the leakage of classified information, and ensuring the ideological loyalty of IRGC members. Over time, its responsibilities have expanded to include securing strategic facilities like airports and sensitive sites, as well as protecting senior IRGC members and Iranian regime officials. This unit is vital in maintaining the loyalty and security of the IRGC and the Iranian regime as a whole.
