An Iraqi Shia political movement. The military militia of the movement is the 19th Brigade in al-Hashd al-Shaabi (PMF) and is considered one of the pro-Iranian militias in Iraq. Additionally, the militia is part of the Islamic Resistance group declared in 2023 and officially attacks American and Israeli targets. The militia fought against ISIS during the campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq.
