Al-Ashtar Brigades

The Al-Ashtar Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance in Bahrain, is an armed pro-Iranian Shia militia engaged in terrorist activities in Bahrain against the Sunni-led government, as well as UAV attacks targeting Israel. The militia claims to operate as an organization based in Bahrain, but some of its attacks may be carried out from Iraq, with the support of groups affiliated with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq. The organization is comprised of members of the Shia community loyal to the Iranian regime, fighting against Bahrain's Sunni minority government. It operates under the guidance of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, with its fighters trained and equipped by Iran.
